Q: Do I need a Twitch account?

A: No. You can read chat without logging in. To send messages you need to log in with your Twitch account.

Q: Does it cost money?

A: No, it is free.

Q: Is there an iPhone version?

A: Yes, but it is still a beta. You can get it with TestFlight.

Q: The app uses a lot of battery.

A: Busy chats with a lot of animated emotes use more battery. In the settings you can slow down or stop animated emotes and turn off liquid glass.

Q: Does it use a lot of mobile data?

A: Emotes are saved on your phone after they download once, so it uses less data over time. There is also a data saver setting.

Q: What about privacy?

A: ErmChat connects to Twitch directly. You can read the privacy policy here.

A: The cat in the logo is @stewlyblume.
